We are Dave and DeeAnn Buell, from Carthage, Missouri.  Originally, Dave is from Brawley, California, a small desert town in Southern California.  He joined the Church in 1973, graduated from BYU in 1975, served in the Georgia Atlanta Mission from 1975-1977 and spent the next 38 years working for several companies, the last 25 in mergers and acquisitions.  DeeAnn was born of American parents in Edmonton, Canada and they finally settled in Prescott, Arizona.  She spent many years as a chair-side dental assistant and loves to sing in Sweet Adelines, a female barbershop singing group.  She and Dave met after his mission and were married in 1978.  Holly was adopted in 1983; she now has 3 girls of her own, and Kevin was adopted in 1984 and he has one daughter.

We have served in a number of Church callings over the years and we have always talked about serving a mission together. So, as retirement loomed, the prospect of serving became more and more real.  Finally, it’s here!

  1. Br. and Sister Buell, we just found your blog and are so impressed with the great work! My family and I plan to visit Indonesia when we pick up our missionary son in Singapore in three months. We have hoped to do some kind of humanitarian project in Indonesia. Can we correspond with you about this?
