The drive anywhere always produces a lot of photographs. The frustrating part is that they never do justice to the beauty of the Indonesian countryside OR, the best pics don’t get taken because we’re going too fast, I get just a glimpse before it’s too late and we’re past it, or I can’t get my camera ready in time, or my phone is dead sjust when I need it. Nevertheless, here’s a few pics from the last drive to and from Bogor.
A full load of ‘krupuk’ (crew pook) – a thick potato chip-like snack.
Not sure what he’s carrying, but I suspect it is heavy…
Bogor area is home to alot of Arabs – so lots of businesses with signs in Arabic.
With Arabs come women wearing full burkas
First time we’ve seen a burka that wasn’t black. These women don’t even want you to see their eyes.
Here’s a use for old tires….
Running to get on Mom’s bike
Ready to ride….
Not sure of his job, but he was working at the gas station
Always enjoy the fruit and vegetable stands
A full load of something!
Carrying so much stuff he can’t use his foot pedals!
Crazy – motorcycles pass vehicles on both sides. Notice the car coming the other way…no biggie….
I think rice fields are peaceful. Reminds me of the farm fields where I grew up.
