Christmas Celebration, LDS Style
Merry Christmas from the Buells!! It would be a little expensive (actually, a LOT expensive) to mail stuff to you from Indonesia for Christmas. Besides, the last thing you or any of us need is “more stuff”, so we won’t be mailing you anything! As we get older, our Christmas list gets shorter and shorter because we realize the things we want can’t be bought…so instead of sending stuff, we are sending these invitations to something you can all use:
The first is the Church’s initiative to Light the World:
This is a terrific opportunity to find ways every day to be more like the Savior in helping or serving neighbors, family, strangers or anyone!
The second is the Christmas Devotional with the First Presidency and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on Sunday, December 4 at 6:00 pm MST. A chance to hear a Christmas message from a Prophet and to hear Christmas music from the greatest choir in the world!
I know that the Savior lives and that He is real. He is my example. That we can all be a little more kind, a little more patient, a little less harsh and a little less judgmental and strive to be a little more like Him each day is my prayer for all of us this Christmas season.
